 Jeremiah says that they are scarce in Jerusalem. II. In chapters 1, 2, and 4, the first letter of each stanza of the poem (each verse) matches the Hebrew alphabet. Historical Context--history is always important to establish the total context of the prophetic message, which primarily has a message for that day and time, but is also Predictive, the predictive part being for both the people of Jeremiah and later generations like those of today. vv. v. 11 — This is the same charge that the Lord Jesus will make later on when He cleanses the temple. 13-16:  And the word of the LORD came to me a second time: What do you see?  Photo “Jeremiah” was the major prophet during the decline and fall of Judah’s southern kingdom. At first glance, The Book of Jeremiah has no real order to it. And that means that we’re finishing up the section in Jeremiah that started back in Jeremiah 3:6 and ends with Jeremiah 6:30.
