Fortunately, the cable is not proprietary at all, and it’s a 4-pole 3.5mm jack on both sides. The new headband is part of an overall refresh in the design, which has the RIG 500 Pro looking a bit more slick than its predecessors. Plantronics figured out how to make a gaming headset sound great a long time ago, and they haven’t messed with that here.
