Yesterday I was riding again and the bike died (lost power) While I was riding. How does it crank? Spark plugs? And there may be a clog in the fuel-tank vent system (the cap). Sometimes I can ride around all day with no problems. Engine died while cruising, towed bike home, when I turn on ignition switch, only got power to horn and speedo light. If not, I'd change a spark plug lead. It died while you were riding as it was on it's last legs, you bumped it but it was still not charging fast enough, my bet is  that the battery is toast, but could be your stater/electrical system, check the outputs on that once you have a manual and know what your looking for with the voltmeter. Reguator/rectifier without a doubt. My question would be how new is your battery, and have you had any rectifier/regulator issues in the past that would cause the battery to not hold a charge? I have lately noticed my bike being jerky sometimes, I'll watch my RPM's and they will drop for a split second and go right back and it goes like that for a while and eventually it stops. If the battery only measures to a maximum of 10.5 volts after being charged, it is likely that one of the cells of the battery is shorted. I can rev it wide open and hold it there with out a hiccup. I put fuel injection cleaner in my tank, What else could it be? It also tends to happen more when I hit bumps. Have a look at it and see if there are any holes/burn marks on it  - either way I'd get a multimeter and check what's coming out of the battery. The battery should have 12 volts or higher with no load on it (ignition and lights off).
