</body></html>";s:4:"text";s:21902:"I would say the image quality of the 4-element Autocord is fully equal to the Tessar-lensed Rollei's, however. With proper care those are cameras you will keep for a very (very) long time, it's worth paying extra to get exactly what you want. 
 I am getting a Rolleicord for Christmas. Yashica continued making them into the 1980s, so you can find a comparatively youthful one if that matters to you. It was filthy but overall solid. But how does the Ricoh Diacord G compare to the Yashica Mat? The winder / frame counter mechanism works well, though the old silver covered plastic of the winding knob can wear a bit. I'm anticipating a CLA, and even called my repair guy (Nippon Photo Clinic) and they are sure Yashica parts are no problem, Minolta they think should be no problem, but Ricoh parts could be hard to get. The Autocord is rather different from Rolleiflex, Rolleicord and other Yashica Mat… mamiyas start getting heavy ,especially with flash Yashica Mat 124, D, EM, LM, 12, 24, 635. I'd be interested in trying a Yashica TLR from the 50s sometime, just to compare with the Ricoh. I've used Rolleilfexes, Rolleicords, Yashica-Mats, and Yashica-Ds. The lever on the minolta is not as smooth imo. it has good build quality, unique focusing system with helicoid and one hand operation, sharp and exceptional picture
 										 I have some Autocords and some Yashicamats that are just as durable and take just as good of an image as some of my Rollei's and at a fraction of the price. I am willing to throw the rollei over my shoulder when I travel. I'd use a Planar or Xenotar Rolleiflex for its lens, but the Autocord would still be nicer in my hand. When Mark Hama did the CLA he replaced the Yashikor (3 element lens) with the Yashinon (4 element) Tessar clone. It was shot on Ilford pan f. When I bought a used TLR a few years ago I chose a Mamiya C220 as the 124G's fixed 80mm lens was limiting. 									 $184.99. I'd go with an earlier model Mat, they are reputed to be more robust.  Pretty hard to knock out of alignment. And the lens really does have something special going on. If more than three … Before hand, I pooh-poohed this, but in practice again it makes for a more convenient camera. If you desire  good wide open performance, you're going to be  dropping some serious cash like I did. This appears like it may be what your looking for. I'd have a hard time telling a Yashica shot from a Rollei shot if both were 12 x 12 size. The batteries are no longer being made (if they have mercury in them) but if any stores have new old stock they can still sell them. TLR Lens Caps - flexible and resilient.
